Mallory and Irvine leaving the North Col for the last climb
£16.00
This is the last known photograph taken of George Mallory (left) and Sandy Irvine as they left for the North Col of Everest. The pair were to disappear into the mists never to be seen again.
Noel Odell was a geologist and oxygen officer on the 1924 expedition. For two weeks he lived above 23,000 feet without supplementary oxygen. He was the last man to glimpse Mallory and Irvine alive.
